I have been using DVD Shrink and Clone DVD 1 & 2 for the past year or so, I've burnt about 300 movie backups with very few coasters when I find Shrink does'nt want to open a program I use DvD Decrypter then Shrink, recently several movies I've tried to backup will be analysed but when I try to burn the movie only the extra's are there, whats happening

Yeah thats what I thought. Biased reviews again. If you will all notice the people making those reviews are the very same ones trying to sell you the program. I put no worth in any review like those.

I have done a lot of testing of my own on a lot of DVD authoring software and if your going for quality this would be the order I put them in.

    1. Cinema Craft Encoder (You won't find better quality)
    2. InterVideo DVDCopy3
    3. CloneDVD2 by Elby
    4. Fab DVD
    5. DVD Shrink
    6. Copy2DVD
    7. DVD Xcopy
    8. 1 Click DVD Copy
    9. CloneDVD
and many others not even worth mentioning.

Note: Keep in mind that several of those will still require the use of a encryption removal proggy like AnyDVD, DVD43 or DVD Decrypter

I agree this is biased review, noticed this site months ago when I first began looking for new programs a replacment for Xcopy. Did not make up my mind til I checked out this forum figure Advanced Users know a lot more than these sites, have not been steered wrong yet.

I've seen plenty of folks get suckered into buying crap software because of that wretched list.

well...after reading this thread..and testing out many of those programs on the lists people reference...the easiest for me to use, and as of yet not failing is DVD Decryptor followed by DVD Shrink 3.2. I'm sure there are more advanced programs, as well as ones with more capabilites, but for simple copying these have not let me down yet. Thank you everyone for all the great input and making this task much easier. Kudos.

I highly disagree. GamesXCopy is inferior in every way to the likes of BlindWrite, Alcohol 120% and CloneCD. Game protections are constantly evolving whereas GameXCopy isn't so as time goes by it gets more and more useless.

I´m having a problem with Intervideo DVD Copy 3, despite its good image quality, most of the dvds I backup with this program it somehow puts glitches in some areas of the menu, like the scene selection or in the interviews menu. has anyone had the same problem? can anyone help me with this one?

What may I ask is PowerDVD (a DVD playing software) going to do to help with DVD Copy 3 (a DVD trancoding, burning software)?

This poor guy is probably trying figure out how to make Power DVD fix his problem to no evail due to that poor advise.

    rodwaits,
if I may suggest it is is probably the media you are using. What is the brand of media you are using?

question for bbmayo. after seeing your list, which u agree with for the most part, i need to know, where is nero recode2; or you don't think it is a good program? following your list, i would put recode2 on third place. what do you think?

to mahmut1-record mow is a good program for copying dvds that has been copied using a dvd copy software.keep in mind that record now will not shrink movies to fit a standard 4.7 gb disk.most movies will have to be shrinked.
