i was thinking about getting the 8800gts, caus i can stretch to £200, but then was wondering, i will no for another 2 years need a dx10 card, so was wondering what was the best dx9 card....

one that can run most games at 1024x768 at high settings, esp c+c3 and unreal2004.

    i saw this, http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=GX-067-HT&tool=3

    would it be alright?

well i wont e getting vista for another 2 years, so i guess i wont be getting dx10?

plus, my max resolution, that i think is still good looking enough(without making me squint) is 1024 x 768, so i don't need the most upto date card to run games at high level on that resolution would i?

well waiting for vista 2yrs is a bit much but anyways paying a bit more 4 this http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=GX-021-EA will make all ure games play at high and if u change ure mind about moving to vista u wont have a prob

heres how i see it if u buy the ati 140£ then decide to buy the 8800gts 185£ u would have to sell the ati at 100£ then pay 85£ more so in total u wouldve wasted 140+85= 225£ if u just buy the 8800gts now u would only b wasting 185
