Can someone please tell me what format is most acceptable to the application.
I know Nero transposes video formats before burning to DVD - but is there one format that is faster and easier to transpose than another?

There's DivX, mpeg's and Windows avi for example.

I probably sound a bit ignorant to the experienced user - but I'm not too proud to learn from those with superior knowledge.

In essence, what is the best set up for failure free burning to Nero Vision?

    Thanks for any help.

Sorry - I seem to have caused great confusion.

I have no trouble using Nero Vision.

However, it seems to me that when presented with a movie file to burn to DVD it runs differently depending on the format that is presented.

If it is an .avi file or mpeg4 or divx or whatever, it is faster or slower. I cannot decide which is the best format and whether it is worthwhile converting files first.

At 2 GB, memory is not a problem.

I hope I have explained correctly.

I have read many posts where members have converted their AVI, mpeg files etc with another program and then used Nero to burn...I cannot see why this is done as in my opinion it's hard to go past NeroVision for the "complete" job.
It shouldnt be much in time difference between AVI files or MPEG or Divx..only the size of the file to be converted should affect the time.
