I am in the market for a new lcd.
My old tv is a hd-crt and i hate how fat it is.
I am basically apposed to cheap brands(well no so much me but the wife)
I was looking for a size of 42-46 inches 42 being the best

The first priority would be the jacks i would like to have at least 1 hdmi (witch i know is standard),at least 2 component inputs,at least 1 vga input and some composite/s-video to spare

Second consideration would be a good resolution and does not have to 1080p but at least 1080i

Contrast should be descent but this is not the most important because i will be viewing it in a fairly bright room

It does not have to have a tuner because i have a great hd-dvr cable box

The primary use for this tv is well hdtv and not very many movies

I appreciate the help and i hope i can figure this all out

Try the Samsung LCD's. They are cheaper than Sony. The glass is cut in the same factory and they have better contrast ratios.

I would have to agree, although go for Samsung as they are just as good as Sony and your not paying for the Sony name.
