    I do TSOP's so this might differ if you use a chip;

    version 1.0-1.1 use a 1mrg bios file (unless you want to put a switch in and use live,then you can split the tsop into two bios's)

    version 1.2-1.5 use a 256kb bios file

    the difference between the 4983.06 and the 4983.67 is that the .06 means that it supports the partition 6 (F drive) and the .67 supports the patitions 6 and 7 (F and G drive). The only problem with the 4983 series is that you can't edit the animations and color of the flubber....whereas the 4981 series you can.

    I use either the 4981 or evox m8
    the 4983 cant be colour modded.

    if youre using the box for backups and apps, all will work fine, if you dont have the LBA large hdd patch, you can use evtools (evox bios) or xbtools (x2 bios)
    to sort the prob out.
