BIG problems in sunny southeast

    BIG problems with starview since freq changed the weekend here in ireland in sunny southeast. when we do factory setting only getting about 40 channels then i do manual and get them back BUT it freezes when changing channel and then starts to loose channels?? . I also have a starview that will not pick up anychannels at all no matter what i do as in software etc. plus it has full signal..
    any help would be greatful

    When you done the factory reset did you power off the Starview from the back on/off switch for a minute and then continue with the installation? As this will clear the bootloader, also you may need to do an autoscan more than once to pick up all the transponders.

    i tried that no joy i done it several times nothing its getting the better of me because it has full signal/software i,ve even put in channel dump so i could get to default i think this is the final straw....

    Sounds like a signal fault either at N**s headend or either the incomer/internal coax to your house. Have you got a subbed box working and are any of your neighbours having the same sort of problem?

    Dell I seen your reply to Ferg on Satdownloads. This box that isnt working have you checked that it has the same keycodes as you working box?

    ya same codes and i have others boxs working no bother from same line its a problem with the box for sure not n,l

    have u tried a transfer box to box master[good box] to slave[bad box] provided u have 2 boxes.

    now i,ve done that and went through codes/emu on/and auto scan still showing scrambled or bad channel and it has up 96% signal i think its time to call it a day and send it back for repair.thanks again for all your help very greatfull

    Sounds like a tuner problem alright, best of luck and hopefully you can get it repaired/replaced.

    i,d say ill have no bother my provider is sound to deal with and im dealing with him a long time now on a regular basis
