Ok after reading 9 pages of posts I have become pretty well versed (I hope) on how to do this. But, I do have a question. I have a file... Lets call it "conair" in my download folder. So d/my downloads/conair When I unpack it to my desktop it's a folder called "conair" but inside it are 8 files. All of them are conair(bin)part1.bin through conair(bin)part7.bin There is also what looks like an MSdocument in there but it's a 7k bin file.
Under the advice of someone else I unpacked "conair(bin)part1.bin" and found it to actually contain two files. Both were labeld "ims-fl" but under info I realized one was a bin and one was a cue file.
What concerns me is even though I have a single bin and cue file. What do I do with the other 7 parts? I tried burning the bin file that I had unpacked. (which burned ok and turned out blank and then I read on here I have to burn the cue file) But, my question is this. Did I do everything correct up to this point? Is this the cue file that I should be burning or am I only supposed to have one file?
When I started with the original "conair" file I just right clicked it and said "extract here" using winrar and ended up with 8 files.
Any info for clarification would be helpful and thank you in advance.

Well, if you unpacked it corrcetly, the unpacker should have loaded all the N parts before building the big BIN file and its CUE. After that, if you did not receive errors, you can delete everything (except the BIN/CUE set you want to burn, of course).

An immediate check for BIN/CUE consistency can be made with CDMage. Should the image be truncated (as it may happen if a part is missing and if you told the unpacker to continue anyway), CDMage will warn you immediately (telling that the last LBA of the image - recorded in the TOC - does not match with the image length).

Hey guys! How are you all? I hope good! I have a little problem installing either Daemon or Alcohol - I get an " Error 1606 Could not access network location < Common Administrative Tools > .AllUsers " I think that this may or mey not stems from a bug I had a while ago (but cleaned -successfully) and for some reason it (I really don't know) reset?!? some setting that now I can't get into! Or it could have happened when I changed OS. Does this make sence to anyone?
I really don't know what to do?
Can ya help this ol dog with a few more new tricks?

    Thanks

I burned a .bin of a game (I tried to make a .cue but when I try to save it in Notepad, it automatically puts a .txt after.cue (and yes, I put it to All Files *.*)) Anyway, after I burned the .bin, I try to install this game and after it starts to bring up the installshield thingy, it pops up IKernal Illegal Operation blah blah anyway, it won't install. Anyway have a clue what's going on? cause I sure don't!

You're [bold] not a mod [/bold] so don't pretend to be one m8. Next time post with a little more intelligence.

    Shoey, first look at this:

    Quote:
    4. Don't just ask questions and leave the forum after you've received an answer, try to contribute something as well.

Do you know what it is? Ask a member, because they have read it (Perhaps you too). Try to be more friendly and comprehensive I'm newbie, don't known much english and I tried to help. And I think that the things that you said you could said them in a private message (I know, me too, but I have reply right). And intelligence don't come with power or knowledege in certain areas.
    One more thing, what's m8?

    333,
We (I) endorse any member to reply to any thread with good advice and a reasonable solution to his/her problem. We (I) am not asking for a "report card" from any mod.

    A) Yes and sarcasm sometimes gets one in deep trouble.
m8= mate (Aussie slang term) although I'm pure American.

Hi again! How are you all? I hope you are well!

Ok here we go! Is there some sort of idiot manual for Alcohol 120%?

I have my bin, I have my cue, I have my alcohol! (sorry - not vodka :)) But I don't know what to do with any of them! I have been tinkering around with the program part - but honestly I just don't get it!

Can some really nice person lead me in the nice direction?

Hey everyone. Ok, I wanted to discuse this problem before it became a problem. First of all I am familiar with ISO's and BIN files. I ran into a lot of BIN files BUT never burned any.
I read and understand about the cue making in notepad.

[bold]Now my problem is:[/bold] do I rename the notepad to whatevername.cue and does it have to be a specific name for the cd to read in the cd-rom. for instance: 'thisspecificname.cue'

I have Mechwarrior 4 and they are in 2 seperate bin files: Mechwarrior 4 CD1.bin and Mechwarrior 4 CD2.bin. If you can help me, I would greatly appreciate it.

"cue" file should have been created when you (or internet download provider=download) read the image of Mech Warrior 4. If it's SecuROM then you the image of both cd's with sub-q channel data. if it's Safedisc then you would read with ignore read errors and fast error skip. Use a tool called ClonyXXL to scan the cd's to see what cd protection is on them.

hi i downloaded a program for an irc channel and i'm having some problems. The only instructions it came with was to unrar the file ( it came in a rar format) and burn files .001-.003 to a cd. I have no idea how to burn the files to a cd. should I just burn them or burn them as an image? Windows identifiys them as a 001 file , a 002 file, and a 003 file. how could i bunr these 3 images (?) to a cd at once??? If this has already been disscused sry and could you plz provide a link.
    THX in advance, Viper753

Can someone tell how to exactly get rid of the .exe in the .bin.exe. I've tried going into the properties of the file and going to the program tab. From there I took out the .exe but in Alcohol 120% it still sees the file as a .bin.exe I have WinXP can somebody please help?
