this is just one of many ways to convert cd bin images onto a dvd disk

    apps required for the guide

    Isobuster
    MainConcept MPEG Encoder
    TMPGenc DVD Author
    Nero Burning Rom

first of all open up the bin image with isobuster as shown, and extract the mpegs as the picture shows

    this may take some time

[bold]if the movie is in 2 parts,i.e 2 bin images, you need to extract both sets of mpegs[/bold]

but keep them in separate folders....and remember which is the first part, and which is the second,by renaming them bin 1 and bin 2 for example

then open mainconcepts mpeg encoder, this is where we will make the mpegs dvd compliant
find the mpegs you extracted with isobuster, and load it in
take note of the settings as the picture shows

[bold]again,if the movie is in 2 parts, you will need to convert both sets of mpegs[/bold]

if you have a powerful pc,open up the app twice and have 2 lots of encoding running at the same time

this again may take some time

next open up TMPGenc dvd author,
this will create a video ts folder, which in turn we are going to burn

    start new project

and add the mpeg file in, (if you have a 2 part mpeg film, add the first mpeg file in)

[bold]again,if you have more than 1 mpeg, load the 2nd one straight on top of the first, the 2 will be merged together[/bold]

this next step is optional, and i am not going to go through all the settings!!!

click through, and set up as follows

[bold]this wont take that long, and the result will be a video ts folder that you have to burn[/bold]

[bold]THIS IS OPTIONAL....YOU CAN IN ACTUAL FACT BURN THE FILM STRAIGHT WITH TMPGEnc,without creating a ts folder,(you need to uncheck the box)[/bold]

NOTE:at this point, the ts folder may be too big,in which case it will need shrinking to fit on a dvd-5

there are many ways to burn ts folders

i like to use clonedvd2,but the diagram below shows nero

burn at your preferred speed(i like x 4)
    job done,

    regards hursty

I was trying to follow you instructions for combining two vcd's to one DVD, but in your thread it says to see image on how to do it. The image is gone, can you post back up?
Or is there a new way of doing this?
    Thanks.

sorry,i removed the pics sometime ago

to merge 2 vcd's into 1,there are quite a few different apps you can use.

you can vso's convertXtodvd if you have it

just extract both mpeg's from the images, then load them both into convertxtodvd (make sure the first part of the movie is loaded first)
    then convert it that way
make sure you set the target size to around 4300mb

    settings/encoding/target size/custom/4300mb

you can use nerovisionexpress also, but imo that sucks
