story: Planned all week on getting this Toshiba 56" Theatre Wide DLP HDTV on Black Friday for $1,300 ... did some research at my local Best Buy - found out they had 7 in stock - i figure i get there 3 hours early and im almost gauranteed to get one ... http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage...=toshiba+56+dlp&type=product&id=1140391964310 Thursday Night about 10pm, sleep w/my lady, 1of my friends call me says "Yo! jus seen a Walmart commercial! they gonna have a 52" RCA HDTV w/a built in stand tomorrow for $474!!!" i head to the computer and sure enough there it was on the walmart website ... http://www.walmart.com/catalog/product.do?product_id=4872141 i scratch my beard for a good half hour and figure "f-it! its not DLP but its still HD and only 4 inches smaller for $800 less pluss i need not by a stand" so im standing outside of walmart about 2:30 in the morning about the 30th in line ... they open the doors at 5 and a mad dash to electronics dept. insues ... i make it back there - i see the TV but how the hell do i buy it - run to checkouts only to be told they only had 2 sets and they are both gone ... mad i was standing outside for 3 1/2 hours for nothing i run to the car and make a dash for best buy - amazed at myself the 30 minute ride was diced to a mere 12 minutes i high step it to the TV section only to be told, under a unnecassary snicker, "dude those are long gone" ... Pissed that i may now have to wait till Superbowl weekend for another great deal i exit Best buy head down ... my 3rd choice was Circuit City - Panasonic 52" HDTV for $999 ... http://www.circuitcity.com/ccd/prod...FEED->PRODUCTS&cm_ite=1 PRODUCT&cm_keycode=57 i know im not getting it - its a over a half hour into black friday - theres no way they have any left ... walk through the doors take my time to the tv section ... shake my head at the mob of shoppers - they all got what they wanted! F-them! every last one of them, F-em! ... i head to an associate: me: do u have anymore 52" panasonics? CC associate: let me check ... ... ... errr yeah we have 12 in stock ... me: heh - figures thanks an-WHAT?!!!! WHERE DO I GO? I WANT IT! DO I NEED A VOUCHER!!! ... stood in line for 45 minutes and im happy to say i got one ... only thing i dont like about it is it doesnt have the split screen ... otherwise its great - never owned anything larger then a 27" ...
