    Hi,

I have been using K-Lite Codec Pack for my codecs and up till recently I had been using version 1.52.

However I recently upgraded to 3.57 and now for some reason my XviD files won't display.

When I open them its just a black screen, I get the audio though!

Is there something I am doing wrong?

I am almost a complete n00b when it comes to stuff like this, but I have checked the codec in ffdshow video decoder.

I have tried both XviD and libavcodec. Both produce the same results.

Thanks for any help you can give.

    Stu

    StuMcBill,
What media player are you using? Also, what OS do you have?

Yeah I get that sometimes, usually means a renderer/decoder conflict.

    Try this:

    -Completely uninstall K-Lite Codec Pack.
-Uninstall ANY other individual codecs you have. (DivX, Xvid, Quicktime, etc.. get rid of them all, K-Lite will replace them).
-Run a RegCleaner and to make sure there's no left over crap.
Try CCleaner, Easy Cleaner or TweakNow RegCleaner, their all free and work great.
-Reinstall K-Lite, and don't mess around with the installation options. Just select a typical installation with most features installed.
