    As per many other posts, whenever I'm online, I constantly get the popups about Blackworm virus and the need to download WinAntiVirusPRO and/or SysProtect. Any help with this unbelievably annoying problem would be greatly, greatly appreciated. Thanks.

    * Double-click VundoFix.exe to run it.
    * Put a check next to Run VundoFix as a task.
    * You will receive a message saying vundofix will close and re-open in a minute or less. Click OK
    * When VundoFix re-opens, click the Scan for Vundo button.
    * Once it's done scanning, click the Remove Vundo button.
    * You will receive a prompt asking if you want to remove the files, click YES
    * Once you click yes, your desktop will go blank as it starts removing Vundo.
    * When completed, it will prompt that it will shutdown your computer, click OK.
    * Turn your computer back on and post a fresh HjT-log along with
    contents of C:\vundofix.txt

    I need some help getting rid of this beagle virus thing. I have tried doing several things and to no avail.

    And it's because of outdated java

    Please follow these instructions carefully.

    Please download here -> http://www.atribune.org/ccount/click.php?id=4 VundoFix.exe to your desktop.

    * Double-click VundoFix.exe to run it.
    * Put a check next to Run VundoFix as a task.
    * You will receive a message saying vundofix will close and re-open in a minute or less. Click OK
    * When VundoFix re-opens, click the Scan for Vundo button.
    * Once it's done scanning, click the Remove Vundo button.
    * You will receive a prompt asking if you want to remove the files, click YES
    * Once you click yes, your desktop will go blank as it starts removing Vundo.
    * When completed, it will prompt that it will shutdown your computer, click OK.
    * Turn your computer back on

    Java update:


    Click Start -> Control Panel and doubleclick Java-icon (coffee cup).
    Go to "Update" - tab . Update your Java by clicking "Update Now" and then reboot.
    If you are unable to perform an automatic update, please download Java from this address:


    http://www.java.com/en/download/manual.jsp


    After reboot, go back to Control Panel and Java.
    In Temporary Internet Files, click Delete Files-button.
    Make sure that all these three options are checkmarked:


    Downloaded Applets
    Downloaded Applications
    Other Files


    Click OK in "Delete Temporary Internet Files" window.

    After that, you can uninstall older version of Java via Add/remove programs in Control Panel

    It should look like this:

    However, I still need VundoFix log.

    Fix these with HjT (do a system scan only, checkmark these and press fix checked):

    Just as I open this page to reply I got a pop up...
    How do I get the "contents of c:\vundofix.txt "
    When I run it to scan for vundo I get a message saying "no infected files were found" (hopefully that is good)

    Log looks fine.

    You don't have Vundo anymore, so pop up isn't from it. It's a "normal" popup.

    Open c:\vundofix.txt in eg. Notepad, copy everything it has(press ctrl+a, then ctrl+c) and paste it here.

    Hello, unfortunately I am also getting pop ups about sysprotect and the blackworm virus. I tried running vundofix before but it said that I dont have any vundo. If you could help I would appreciate it. Thanks.

    * Double-click VundoFix.exe to run it.
    * Put a check next to Run VundoFix as a task.
    * You will receive a message saying vundofix will close and re-open in a minute or less. Click OK
    * When VundoFix re-opens, click the Scan for Vundo button.
    * Once it's done scanning, click the Remove Vundo button.
    * You will receive a prompt asking if you want to remove the files, click YES
    * Once you click yes, your desktop will go blank as it starts removing Vundo.
    * When completed, it will prompt that it will shutdown your computer, click OK.
    * Turn your computer back on.
    * Please post a fresh HjT log and contents of C:\vundofix.txt

    @mattche26: You have so new Vundo that VundoFix won't recognize it.
    Let's try this:

    1. Download Avenger http://swandog46.geekstogo.com/avenger.zip and unzip it to desktop
    2. Copy all text in quote box below to Notepad (starting from
    Files to delete:)

    Notice: This script is for this user. If you aren't that user, DON'T follow these instructions, because they might harm your system

    3. Now, open The Avenger
    [*]"Below Script file to execute" select "Input Script Manually".
    [*]Now click magnifying glass which opens a new window "View/edit script".
    [*] Paste the text you earlier copied to Notepad here
    [*] Click Done.
    [*] Now click green light in order to start script.
    [*] Click "Yes" .
    Avenger will do the following
    [*] Reboot your computer.
    [*] While booting, it will open a dos prompt, it's normal
    [*] After reboot it will create a logfilewhich should open . This log is in C:\avenger.txt
    [*] Avenger has created a backup here -> C:\avenger\backup.zip.
    5. Copy/paste contents of avenger.txt along with a fresh HjT-log.

    When I get to the point where it says vundofix will close and reopen and click OK, it never reopens. I see a screen come up for a split second that dissapears before I can do anything.

    Reboot and send a fresh HjT log. Still having same problems?

    @mmkm: Ok, let's try this:

    1. Download Avenger http://swandog46.geekstogo.com/avenger.zip and unzip it to desktop
    2. Copy all text in quote box below to Notepad (starting from
    Files to delete:)

    Notice: This script is for this user. If you aren't that user, DON'T follow these instructions, because they might harm your system

    3. Now, open The Avenger
    [*]"Below Script file to execute" select "Input Script Manually".
    [*]Now click magnifying glass which opens a new window "View/edit script".
    [*] Paste the text you earlier copied to Notepad here
    [*] Click Done.
    [*] Now click green light in order to start script.
    [*] Click "Yes" .
    Avenger will do the following
    [*] Reboot your computer.
    [*] While booting, it will open a dos prompt, it's normal
    [*] After reboot it will create a logfilewhich should open . This log is in C:\avenger.txt
    [*] Avenger has created a backup here -> C:\avenger\backup.zip.
    5. Copy/paste contents of avenger.txt along with a fresh HjT-log.
