How's it goin lads, Ive just purchased a bm7000s hd sat receiver, I got some info on it about c/s system, but now I'm being told it doesn't actually receive the actual hd chans just upgrades the standard chan to a better clarity... Is this correct or does it actually receive the sly sports hd chans etc etc???

Cheers Ger, are you in the uk or Ireland? I've a box at the moment that gets rte/1/2 and tv 3 on c/s, the Irish chans, just wondering will they be on the 7000s too?

im new to this myself mate, so all i can say is that, my box works using the existing sly dish, on 28.2E Astra2/Eurobird satelite, which is just the same as sly, same sly channel numbering etc. and im in uk, hd channels on this box are the best. its like moving from dial up internet to Broadband...you know what i mean.
