The DVDs have the same CSS as any other commercially produced disc. There is no additional copy protection currently being used or availible. CSS is it.

I was told that they were uncopyable and that they would know if someone were to copy them. then I heard that it would destroy the disk.

Be careful to not ask the same questions in different theards or forums. Someone will answer your question but do not like to anwser it twice. Check out the forum rules.

    pointman,
Shrink doesn't do the actual burning but if you have nero loade on your PC then Shrink will use it to burn. If you don't have nero you can use Decrypter. All this is explained in the guides. If you do some reading and searching in the forums you'll find answers to almost all your backup questions.
Hope this helps and have a great day.
    HW.

I agree with rroettger. I too just joined BB's unlimited rentals, and go there almost daily (sometimes twice a day). They must figure I don't have a life. Have rented about 30 so far in a couple of weeks and all but one have been "viewable". Best deal in town. Shrink rules!

i have accounts at hollywood video and blockbuster,
hollywood mvp is better than blockbuster since its $10 bucks cheaper per month and you can have 3 movies instead of 2 out at a time. at blockbuster i have the rewards program which costs $10 a year and if you rent monday thru wednesday you get one free older rental for every paid rental, if you rent more than 5 per month (hah) you get 1 free rental for every 5 rented (up to 2 free per month). just my .02

Yea, I am going to pick up another 100 discs from NewEgg for $29 and go to Hollywood Video. BB selection sucks since they started Game Rush....
