    Beware all!!!

I got this letter today. As of 3-4 mo ago they raised their price for top tier to $24.99. I paid it. Today I wake up to this email.

    Hi Gary,

As a BLOCKBUSTER Total Access™ subscriber, it's always easy to have the right movie during this holiday season with more than 75,000 titles, including great new releases like Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix, The Bourne Ultimatum and Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End.

We know that during this busy time of year the convenience of BLOCKBUSTER Total Access is especially important to you. Have your movies delivered right to your door. If you want new movies right away, exchange in-store*. And with free shipping both ways and no late fees, it's easy to enjoy all the movies you want for as long as you want.

To continue to bring you the unmatched convenience of both online and in-store DVD rentals, your monthly subscription fee will change from $24.99 to $34.99. This adjustment† will go into effect on your next billing cycle on or after December 27, 2007. The benefits of your subscription plan will remain the same.

If you go to blockbuster.com, there is no program offered at the price 0f $34.99. Their top tier is still the one I was involved in. I have remedied the situation by canceling my account. Which was rather painless in this day. I will go back to Netflix happily! So keep your eyes on those Credit card charges-Blockbusted is tricky.

Garmoon, isn't it sad that the greed of companies allow themselves to spin out this drivel to rationalize their story on why they now charge more.As opposed to telling the truth and saying "we're gonna stick it to ya and you can't do a thing about it (except cancel ofcourse and goto the competition- but that would be unthinkable)
