Blocked Iphone in uk

i have a blocked iphone in the uk 8gb and looking to trade it for another blocked iphone from a differnt country e.g usa, aus

 

why not just unlock your iphone?

 

no it is not sim locked the imei is barred in uk and i need to trade it with one out of the uk

 

why is it blocked? there is a rumour circulating in the trade that most European and North American networks are going to pool their blocked imei lists later this year to stop the international trade in stolen phones.. They have been wittering on about it in the phone trade press for a while now.. Maybe this year they will do it.. maybe not.

Our friendly Polish lads have stopped buying blocked pones in the last few months saying that is the reason..

 

well i brought it off a friend very cheap nd says "he stoped payin for the contract and they blocked it" but i ovb dont belive him but it was worth what i payed for it though

 

Could it be the IMEI code problem? Can you try to change it?

 

I am from aus and have a few imei blocked iphones are yours 3g or 3gs?
