The Vista DVD executes INSTANTLY, therefore not allowing Boot Camp to properly run and set up partition size, etc.

    any suggestions for this?

I don't know about Vista, but when I installed Boot Camp, it did all the partitioning BEFORE I put the disc (XP SP2 Corp.) in. Try running the Boot Camp app in (HD>Applications>Utilities) first before putting any disc in.

I have no idea I bought my mac semi used (less than 3 weeks old) and it was installed on here with vista, I just hold alt at startup.. to be honest Id like to lower the size of the partitioned hd because I RARELY use the windows.. but I dont know how.
