box keeps turning it's self off and on

    Hi can anyone help my box keeps turning it's self off and then on again by it's self

    Better to state what model of box and the firmware you have on it, this info will be required if any help is forthcoming, at the moment it is a bit of generalisation question.

    Thanks for the help Mal i've turned it off for a day and it seems to have fixed it for the moment
    another quick question i've ordered a box from one of the ads site
    sat4u i think it's the newer version that can be used with usb
    was that a good idea

    I presume you are talking about the Starview 4 The Box Super USB, if so you will find a couple of help files in Eamo's FTA Library at the bottom of post. Don't have any knowledge/dealings of that site, if you are getting one of those boxes don't forget to get a USB stick that is what you use to load the firmware and logo which you will also find in Eamo's.

    This was happening to a friend of mine
    The problem turned out to be, he had the vents covered
    We all need air.

    It has to be turned off more now the vents are free
    but i think u have a point with it over heating
    never use to turn it off when i turn it off for
    a while it comes back tnx for the advice
