Manufacturer: Plasmon Never heard of them Manufacturer: CMC magnetics Aren't these the disk that quickly and easily go faulty over time? Correct me if I'm wrong.
I've heard of Plasmon but never used it until now. Probably will never use them again since I couldn't format them under Direct CD on my 52/24/52 burner. They came with the burner. CMC like Ritek was known for making low quality media in the early days. But on another forum, I might say that they're getting better and are surprisingly reliable. Never had any problems with Ritek personally since 1998.
RiTEK was terrible with their 1x,2x,4x product lines, but then they picked up. Ever since the 8x product line they have been good or excellent. I some 8x samples that RiTEK sent out for me and they still are ok (2-3yrs old). CMC Magnetics has been causing nothing but trouble at least to the 24x generation. For the latest high speed media I can't really comment since I am still running on a 12x Plextor drive (I really need a new HW sponsor ) ,so I can 't properly test them.

A 12x drive! You really, really need to upgrade. What part of the world do you live in? Maybe someone here can point you in the right direction for a deal on a faster burner.
