Brick Symptoms?

    Just got a ds from my friend and starting to wonder if he tried to f/w update it.
    The ds shows the green power led when you flip the switch, then the touch screen flashes white and the whole system just powers off right after that.
    tried turning it on with the charger connected to it, but it's the same deal, and I tried using different batteries as well. Last conclusion I could come to is that there's something wrong with the f/w.

    yeh... open the battery hole and check in the corner for a white square sticker that has lil red dots on if its not their then hes tried the fw update by shorting the sp1 module which ya need to do to update


    either that or their is a loose connection check it out using a multimeter

    I think I should point out that what MUNKYEARS said is only valid for the original DS, the DS Lite does not come with the sticker.



    edit: apparently munkyears has just stolen my soul o_o
