Right here goes, I have been into copying for a couple of months now. Everything has been going swimmingly until the last week or so.

    I use nero 6, decripter & 1-2-1 shrink.

I have just copied a whole box set of only fools and horses from the originals no problem at all. But when it comes to copying the copies I have made for a friend the burn process fails. I have gone through 12 discs today and only managed to complete 2. I though it may be the type of discs I was useing so I went out and bought some more but the same problem occurs.

I have the box set on infinity discs tried to write them onto RiDisc firstly without any luck so went out and bought some more infiniti's and it still fails.

Being faily new to this burning lark I'm baffled.

    Hope someone can help.

    Cheers,

    Pete.

Hi Pete and welcome t' AD your style of writings seems familiar, English, I would guess?.

I've had many problems of late with the latest updated version of DVD Decrypter.

Solved in the silence of a sigh, with a re-new-ed aspi.LOL

Sorry Pete we need more, what PC yer got and why aren't you using first class media?
We've all gotta help each other Pete,I still gotta bottle of Peckham Spring, lighting up the wardrobe.

    regards gringle.

Your copy is already decrypted, so you should only have to use NERO to make a 1-to-1 copy of your copy.

    1. Start "Nero SmartStart"
    2. Under "copy and back-up," pick "copy DVD"
    3. Unclick the "quick copy" box (it could be that your computer's too slow to copy on-the-fly and that's why you're getting coasters)
    4. Burn away

    Gringle,

I have got a Dell dimention 8400 only a few months old. But have replaced the original teac burner for a pioneer 108.

    Russreef,

Thats exactly what I'm doing and it's still failing!

Really starting to wind me up now. Thought i'd give it another go this morning the first one I copied no problems at all then 3 coasters!!!

One point, a mate of mine took one of my discs and tried it on his pc, result: coaster tried to burn the same dvd with one of his discs straight after no problem, he uses "BUDGET" 1-8X dvd-r's that he bought for £18 for 100 at a computer fair a couple of weeks ago. Said he's had no problem with them at all.

So sounds like it could be a batch of shite discs I have what do you all recommend.

    Cheers,

    Pete.

P.S Just as I write this the burn has failed again!!!!!

Just had another play I can copy to my hard drive and then to a blank disc and I can also copy music cd's without a problem. So would that suggest crap media that the films were copied onto originaly?

    Cheers,

    Pete.

Hi Pete I don't live to far away from this place, so it's marginally cheaper to visit the place than have the goods delivered.

They seem more than sound enougth, fast friendly, over the counter service, lots of local trade. http://www.rambox.co.uk/

The way I look at it is this. If you're using hooky media you never know, if it's you, or the PC?

a bit like the old fishing adage..more anglers have been caught by flashy floats, than have fish. Shucks I got a glasshoping moment coming on.

    regards gringle
