I have a really annoying problem!!!

the past two dvds i have tried to burn both have stopped burning at 33%.

I am currently using Nero 6 and Cheetah DVD burner. Nero just stops burning the disc all together at 33%. And cheetah burner Comes up with an error message at 33% but continues to burn. However on cheetah burner all my files come up. for example with movies i have tried to burn like 5 movies on to one disc. on cheetah burner it'll burn all 5 however one of the movies will play 15 minutes and will stop playing. therefore it skips the movie.

is this problem to do with the DVD discs (i am using non branded DVD disc) or is it the file which may be corrupted.

please help as i am getting really p***** off.

    Really apprecaite time and effort.

This is more than likely your media. Can you post the Nero log file?

    Thanks for replying

today i went into town and brought some good quality dvd-R discs hoping it might work.

i also installed the latest firmware for my BenQ DVD RW drive.

i was trying to burn a couple of movies on to my disc but after 33% it failed and shut down my computer.

could it be because of a corrupt file. i am currently using cheetah burner.

Sorry i could not get the log file off nero because it shut my computer down. please help and thanks again.

I really need to be able to see your log file to help. You can get it by browsing to your Nero folder in the "programs" folder. Make sure you delete the serial number out of the log at the top of the page before you post it or you will have everyone using it :)

The only real problem I see here is
I also would be burning @ x4 instead of x8, but this probably is not your problem.

So it might be just as you suspected (a bad file) Have you tried to burn any other movies and if so do those work fine?
What process are you using to make these files DVD Compliant or are they already in a DVD format?
I would also stick with using Nero and get rid of the Cheetah proggie all together.

Please let me know your complete process from start to finish the more info you can provide the better we can help. :)
