I read a thread in the DVD Shink forum, and that did not help me. I am posting in the newbie forum because I do not know where it is DVD shrink or Nero so hopefully someone will be able to help me in here.

I am using DVD shrink and burning with nero 6. I am very new to this, so please be patient. I did check out the guides and they weren't much help for my issue.

I get an error, very similiar to the one posted in the DVD shrink forum. I tried what was suggested (checking the ide, setting the transfer mode to DMA, etc) and had no luck. DVD shrink work fine during the analysis and backup. When it's time to write the cd, it goes through what i'm guessing is the "check" but then it will not write. I get this error.

It's possible to get this error message and for the burn to still be successful. Have you tried to play the burned disk? PMA is the program memory area where info about the areas written on the disk is temporarily stored. This info is then written as the table of contents to the "lead-in" area of the disk when the recording session closes. This error seems to pop up for some reason more often for Lite-On and BenQ burners. Everytime I've gotten this error the disk has been OK and played back without problems. The most likely cause seems to be media related, so changing media or updating firmware may solve the problem if it persists.

Try creating an ISO w/ Shrink and burn w/ Decrypter. If you can, then your problem is Nero.

Thank you guys so much for your help. I tried compressing and decoding with dvd shrink and burning with decrypter, and it worked like a charm. You guys are good.
