i fixed the link another way as displaying the pic threw the page out as the pic's too big. no biggie. that is strange about that drop down box as the logfile is saying your burner's not recognised...

Well I think the discs are fine otherwise my pc wouldn't pick them up fullstop. Also can't burn on CD-R with windows writable folder either only DVD's which then convinces me it must be the disc but then it burns something on them and then I get all confused because after all I am a women!

When you insert blank disc into drive you get a box come up what you want to do with cd and there is the option to open the yellow folder which gives you option to burn data or files to cd if you get me now ....... :-S

Just a little question... Did you try to burn a cd using the Media Player own engine?

Media Player fails as well... I'm well confused now...

So, you can burn DVD's... But you can't burn CD's... Nero AND Media Player stop after a while... That rules out the software as being the cause... So... I'm gonna google for a bit...

You see, i've got a similar prob at the moment... But i can't do DVD's...

So does that mean you have different setups? It should be the same, shouldn't it?

i was just thinking that if a burner's on it's way out it could be one of the lasers. however in nutzor74's case that's probably not it, being a new PC and all..
