I have a Sony DVD Burner, DRU 530A. I haven't had any problems with it until just the other day, when I was trying to backup one of my PS2 games. It can still read an audio disc, but when i try burning a DVD image file using Alcohol 120%, after about a minute, it ejects the disc and says there is an error. I just updated my firmware and I still have the same problem. Any suggestions would be very, very much appreciated.
I had the same prob with my drive, Dvd's wouldn't work, but data and music cd's would read fine. Took it in to have it looked at and it was replaced under warranty. They said it was in the earlier stages of death, since it was a combo drive some worked some didn't. Don't know if it really was bad, but I got a new drive out of it so I'm not compaining.
