This just happened this morning. It's worked fine the past few days but now will only regonize blank cd's, and movies. Is there something I can do to fix this? Best Buy said it could be because of some adware cookies on my computer. If this is the case can anyone suggest a good adware program that will remove these?
google offer (ad-adware se personal) free in there google updater there is also some other usefull software in there too.to get the updater go to the google homepage and click on more the software is in there. hope this helps u

Unfortunately memorex media is possibly the worst brand you can buy, they are made by CMC Mag and its the inconsistency in production that causes so many failures. Although you have a memorex burner it doesnt improve things. I would suggest you try Verbatim, Taiyo Yuden or Sony that are made in japan.
