I posted this in the Hardware section and then realised that I probably should have posted it here instead.

I've been trying to burn a DVD to my Mac and the DVD has three optional subtitles (English, Spanish and German) and when I burn the DVD choosing the English subs they appear very faint, as opposed to the same subs on the actual DVD which appear clear and bright.
Is there any way to fix this?
I initially used Tipard Mac Video Converter and then tried HandBrake, but I get the same result each time. I've attached a photo below so you can see how faint they are after I burn it.

It doesn't look bad to me but, I'm not the user.

I can't explain why burning would change the intensity of a font color. The best I can say is to use something like SubRip- https://subrip.en.lo4d.com/windows

to remove the subtitle from the video and either edit it there or in a subtitle editor to change the color intensity. Of course, you would need software to add the edited subtitle back to the video.

Let us know how it goes. I was previously trying to think of a way to enhance the appearance of the subtitle without affecting the video but adding something like a contrasting background to the area of the video where the subtitle is would likely not be pleasing when viewing the video.

Subrip is only available for Windows. I have a Mac. Can you recommend some subtitle ripping software for a Mac?

    How about SubMagic or VideoProc?

Go to wondershare.com. Click on Creativity, Video. Scroll down until you get to video solutions. Select Wondershare UniConverter. It has the ability to extract a subtitle but you must copy/rip the Video_TS folder from the Disc. Since most commercial discs are copy protected, this can present a problem.

I don't know why you're having so many problems with Firefox and Wondershare. I can easily get to all the links. Maybe something in your Security settings.

Is this when you try to download the UniConverter? I won't be home until tomorrow evening. I'll try to get you a link to the zip file tomorrow.

I think the problem with accessing/downloading from that website is either that your security settings for the user account are too high or anti-virus is stopping it.

Here's a link to the .zip file-

    https://www.dropbox.com/s/f9g51l3maps74ld/uniconverter13-mac_setup_full9631.zip?dl=0

Note that this is a free version. It's quite possible that the feature you need may require a purchase. I used
to download all kinds of software that people needed and tried it out before responding but I don't do that
    anymore.
