burning a dvd

    hi , iam a new user , my problem is - i use to download movies from internet and burn them on dvd , i burn several movies on a single dvd using DVD LAB PRO, the problem is when i convert the avi file to mpg. using WINAVI VIDEO CONVERTER, it becomes cinemascope I want it to burn full screen what software should i use to do that , i posted the same problem earlier too someone suggested me to CONVERTX TO DVD, i tried that too but there is same problem... please help.

    Are far as ConvertX is concerned, if the source file is widescreen (16:9) and your TV is a standard screen (4:3) then the movie has to be shown on that screen in a so called letterbox.
    If the movie is not in a letterbox on a standard screen, then the right and left sides are chopped off.
    That is why ConvertX asks you which TV screen you have.
    I don't know of another way to take a 16:9 movie and show it on a 4:3 TV.

    can u please tell me if there is any way to make a mpg. file look full screen on a pc
