Burning AVI files to DVD format. How?

    Hi there,

I have some AVI files that my friend in the US has sent me. I would love to burn them onto a DVD so I can play them on my stand-alone DVD player.

Now I have a feeling they are in NSTC format. My DVD player plays this format but what is the best software to get these files to play as a DVD?

Is there a certain procedure for doing this?

    Many thanks
    Karl
