Is it a good idea to burn stuff other than movies to dvds...like say any thing you might want to save...like image files or zip files...

I want to do some "spring cleaning" in my hard drive and I am just wondering if I should use dvds to back up or cds... any opinions??

Also, has anyone had good luck with burning Audio DVD's ..

Highly recommended!!! An excellent medium for "backups".

I agree. 1 DVD can hold about 6 CD's worth of data and now they cost just about the same, so it makes sense.

I tried burning a DVDR full of MP3s once and it didn't play in anything. The only thing I could do was get the data off onto a computer. Never tried like audio CD tracks on a DVDR though.
