I have a nec dvd rw nd-3550a burner, and I am using convertxtodvd program. I burnt about 10 dvd previously to having my problem just fine. What's happening is after I convert and burn to dvd it won't play in my dvd player. I can hear the movie but the picture looks like the tracking is off. I tried it in another dvd player and it wouldn't play at all. The dvds play just fine on my computer though. Anyone know whats going on?

What brand of discs are you using, and what format are they, +R or -R

They are Memorex DVD+R. I've burnt about 10 dvds that work fine now I've burnt three in a row that have had the same problems.

If you like to go through the threads you will find many written on the use of Memorex discs, they are the #1 for causing errors.
They are manufactured by CMC Mag and it's the inconsistency in the dye that causes problems, using them is a very "hit and miss" affair.

I am certain that if you change to a better quality of disc, say Verbatim or Taiyo Yuden the problem will be overcome.

    Heres one of the threads

I think you will find that -R is most popular although I always use +R. Look for something Made in Japan but any Verbatim from Taiwan is also good.
