If your system is like mine you have 2 IDE connections on the motherboard. One is primary and the other is secondary. Both can connect up to 2 drives. One as master and the other as slave. Each drive has little jumper pin to set Master, Slave or Cable Select. I have 2 HDD and 2 ODD (one burner and one DVD-Rom). When I go to Device manager I only see one Primary and one secondary IDE channel. I was wondering that if you still see Primary and Secondary 4 each, you might have configuration problem that preventing to put your ODD back to DMA mode. If your all drives are working. I do not know why it shows as “Not Applicable” as Current Transfer Mode. Can anyone, maybe who install the drive(?), check those jumpers are set right?
