I have a claritone DVD player and I want to burn the ring so I can play it but what type of file does it have to be like avi mpg or what? and what program should I use to change it? It is currently in.avi.

I use TMPGEnc to convert my .avi files into mpeg1 format. You will probably have to cut the movie into two different sizes depending on the size to fit onto normal cd-r. Then burn each file onto a cd-r using Nero as a vcd file. Then if your stand alone dvd player supports vcd you can play it on there.

I would recommend using DVD2SVCD because that would cut your movie for 2 cd's when its finished, it will allow you to use TMPGEnc as your encoder or CCE SP. Use TMPGEnc for VCD and CCE SP for SVCD.
