Ahha, but I need something called NeroVission Express to convert the AVI into something that will go onto the DVD right, namely the VOBs etc.....

I have TMPGenc Plus and DVD Author that I have used to convert the AVIs to MPGs and then onto VOBs but alas no sound.

INfact no sound in the MPG now I look at it.

    :-(

It might be possible that there is no sound in your video. I may have been placed in a separate file. In easy CD creater 6 (Roxio6) it is all inclusive one click and 2hrs later you have a playable DVD disc. Thats at 1x burning on my player. The new Nero from what I understand is also all inclusive, But I still use 5.5, haven`t upgraded.

Now Prisoner, please dont tell me you think Roxio 6 is any good. Come on man, get off the drugs lol ;-)

Hey, these drugs are perfectly good.
I mean I am not on any drugs, Yes thats it.

But seriously, I am a Roxio fan as was the first burning software every used and grew up through the versions. In Canada its hard to find Nero and didn`t even knew it existed until March 2003. My only complaint with Roxio is that in the Classical burning engine you can`t do DVD`s at disc at once. That is irritating as in the Builder program thats the only way it burns DVD`s. So I would go as far as to say it would be perfect if you could disc at once burn in the Classic burning program.
(exhale) I never swallowed, the fumes.

Why hate Roxio, what did to to you. I rarely have errors using it. IF my stand alone could reconize -R I would only use it, but lacking the Disc at once feture sucks. So I need to use Nero for that.

Yeah, basically i hate it because it was found to cause the problem of my Blue Screen syndrome. Damn Roxio, grrr.... ;-)

Odd never a problem when installed correctly. When I had My CD from HP burner, the direct CD version 3 didn't like version 5 and caused errors. I just removed all the Hp software and worked fine. I don't like My CD anyways, bad slow program. But I am still a supporter of Roxio.

DVDXCopy is alright if u dont want to lose any quality!

To be honest my favourite DVD Backup method is CCE SP - TMPGEnc DVD Author (or Pinnacle Studio 8). Time consuming but fusk there is amazing quality from it!

    Hi everyone.
Very green on all this. Anyway I was wondering if Nero 6, which I'm using to go from VOB to disc, would give a lesser quality output than using TMPGEnc/FitCD/etc?

I hate to see this thread die, no action for two days...........

For those who are thinking about using Nero &.0. It finally works! Great quality DVDs.
    All-inclusive program too.

I've had a few problems with the NeroVision 2.022 part of NERO6. Transcoding AVIs to DVD. It often gets the Audio out of sync and it always crashes if you want to batch multiple files to one DVD.

Dela You stated that using Nero 6.0 for transcoding avi is a bad idea. What do you recommend?
