Nero 6 has improved its encoding over the Nero 5 set, but I personally think Dela's method or TMPGEnc is the better option.
This is a message for the dude with no sound. OK, no sound in your dvd movie. Do This if you want dolby digital ac3 from an mp3 file. Works every time. Don't bother with the .mpg audio in tmpgenc. 1. When you start tmpgenc go through our options and click ES (video only) 2. After your done your mpeg2 file, go and get besweet and ac3 machine (freeware). 3. Open ac3 machine and set besweet in the first command line and convert your mp3 to ac3. 4. Merge the two streams, the .ac3 file with the .mpg in a dvd authoring program and check before burning with power dvd or somthin. 5. Burn it with nero or whatever and bingo, youre done. This is a little complex but it works. It has gotten me matrix reloaded and numerous others 3 months before it is on dvd, ooops, sorry for saying that, just joking moderators, I only use this on my avi home videos! Ha!
You are all useless!!! READ THIS! NERO VISION DOES WORK!!! NERO IS AN ALL IN ONE PROGRAM WHEN BURNING ALL AVI'S TO DVD'S. USE THE LATEST VERSION NEROVISION. I was having the same trouble as you, it gave me error messages about transcoding. All I did was seach for the problem file on my PC called NeAcEnc.dll. It was 88k, then I seached for the same file on Google, I found the file I found on another site was bigger. So I downloaded the new version of NeAcEnc.dll and replaced the one I had and it FIXED ALL MY PROBS!!!! Here's the URL where I got NeAcEnc.dll http://nctuccca.nctu.edu.tw/ftp/Windows/Tools/File/Nero/support_doc/ You can send your thankyou emails to marckean@hotmail.com
Hey guys , I am using Nero 6 for burning and it does a great job. I havent used nero 5 so dont know about comparison. My fav setup is DVD SHRINK 3.0 , gotta love the auto compress feature THANX GUYS. I guess the reason that shrin + Nero6 are my fav way to do this is because its the only way ive tried. But hey like they say if it aint broke dont fix it. Oh and if you use nero6 and you burn with udf/ifo type comp and you get the error messg that says you need to switch to dvd-video comp just ignore it. It will work fine.
Marckean, have you heard of spam bots? If not then I sugest that you remove you email address. As the question, Nerovision Express converts AVI or MPEG files to DVD vob files.
Hmmm....was just busy siging marckean@hotmail.com onto all the spam email sysems. LOL - joking but someone will be if you dont remove it
i'm using nereo 5.latest version. i need something to convince me that 6 is da bomb, i read all the coments. i use it mainly for dvd's but i dvd shrink. i might get some pixels with it but other than that
ME too mate, dont bother - why changing something that works perfectly well unless you need Nero 6's advanced features - not for DVD recording though ;-)
Hey guys important update for those of you who are using or are going to use nero 6. Last night i went to work so i was able to test my dvd's out on a standalone One was burnt using the udf/ifo compilation such as the nero guide says to do the others were done using the DVD-video compilation such as nero tellls you to do when trying to burn. The only DVD that would play in the standalone dvd player and the PS2 was the one created doing it the way nero says to do it. If you are using nero 6 you must write it in the DVD-VIDEO Compilation format in order for it to play in your standalone. Media type used was a dvd5 sony dvd+r disk. Good luck everyone.
I have said on other threads but [bold]cnmsales[/bold] has raised the valid point here too. That you DO want to burn as DVD-Video in Nero 6 , either using Nero Express or Nero Burning Rom [both bundled in Nero 6 Ultra] A few other things are different in Nero 6 too , like burning an image ..ie; .bin / .cue files. It still burns the files just as well , but the options are in different place to guide http://www.afterdawn.com/articles/archive/bin_cue_with_nero.cfm
so what is being said...if i use nero 6 and burn a dd using the udf it will not work and that i must use the video compilation. if i do will the quality be differnt.
Hey if you do burn in the udf/ifo format it will still work on you Computer at least it does on mine but video will work on both standalone and puter.
last night i burned (to test the theory) a movie using dvd-video option in nero 5.last version. towards the end of the movie it realy got bad when viewing. it paued, pixelated, sometimes stopped. is all that fixed in nero 6.
In Nero 5.5.10.42 for me I would use Nero Wizard thru to DVD-Video (but under UDF 1.02/ISO1) and burn w/ 100% success. Now there is no wizard (at all) so it really couldnt be any easier. Everyone will be burning the same way now in Nero instead of this way or that. If you dont want to risk trying it CoreyDJ then stick with what you know ;-) P.S. Who is to say why it pixelates , skips or jumps...that could be down to bad media / burning at high speed while using old firmware that has since been updated etc etc
Hey there I said already i DONT KNOW about nero 5 i assume you would go by the guide for nero five. What im saying is in nero 6 dont do it this way do it the way nero tells you to do it.
