burning problems

    I ran a search on finding a Nero log and got this from another thread (as I am not that familiar w/Nero).

    is your burner more than a year old? Have you burned numerous discs what I am trying to find out is if it has almost died of old age??
    If the answers are yes I would possibly invest in a new burner and it should come bundled with Nero or you can use the Nero you have... there is some kind of Nero clean tool if you ever need to remove nero and install a new one.
    members can guide you on that one.
    your burner sounds defective and unreliable at the present and most people do not have these probs - just know that burners are normally pretty reliable and pretty good to use.
    tried upgrading the firmware too?
    try checking the HP website.
    I hope you get some relief and some good results soon
