Too bad, you should've bought the game. The discussion of cracks is not permitted :)

i like this site and all but theres on thing i dont like. when someone mentions cracks, even tho i know they shouldn't, you flame them for not buying the game. where as just because you use a crack doesn't mean you didn't buy it. i would download a crack for my g/fs computer if there was a decent one out right now and she legally owns the game.

I'm not going to cheer them. Flaming is an unwarranted personal attack and I did nothing of the sort. I'm happy you have your opinion but your post was off topic and irrelevant to this thread. If you have a problem with something I've done then use the pm function.

This discussion is over and is not to be brought up again.

I take it you mean in the sig.

Click on the My Account at the top of the screen, then Edit Personal Infomation

In the sig box, type in what you want to be in there.

To insert a picture, you will need to have it hosted on a site, eg www.geocities.com or any other site, then type [.img]www.geocities.com/somebody/mypic.jpg[./img]
(without the .'s near img) Of course you will change the www.geocities...... to the URL of where the picture you want.

If its going to be in your sig, remember, dont make it really really big, or you will be asked to remove it.

If you made a true working copy of the game that requires no emulation then no, you don't need to keep CloneCD. If your copy does require emulation then you'll need to either keep CloneCD or use Daemon Tools to run the image from a virtual drive :)

Even though the sims 2 is safedisc 3.2 or whatever would I be able to back it up using the safedisc 2 profile in Discdump/Fireburner? I'm using a 2 sheep burner.

I don't believe so. SD 3.20.022 is quite a bit more difficult than any of the 2xx versions although you never know until you've tried :)

Would an Emprex 8X burner burn the Enter the Matrix using this method?

    @ Renas

It appears Emprex is an OEM BTC so I wouldn't get my hopes up for a working copy. You may get a good enough image to mount with Daemon Tools.

Also let's reduce the size of the image in your sig - it's way too big :)

Oh sorry bout the pic, didn't think it would qualify as very big, fixed it.

So I just make an emulation enabled like it says before and it'll run?

Since I was a fan of the original Sims game and wanted to support the company, I bought the Sims 2 DVD game. However, I hated having to insert the disc to play so I, um, downloaded an altered disc image of the CD version of disc 1. It's altered in that it's a small file at 1.5-2MB. But, it looks like a real disc to the game. All you have to do is load up the image and you can play; plus, since it's so small, you don't have to wasted disc space.

But here's the problem. An update to the game was just released. There are two versions - one for the DVD version and one for the CD version. When I try to update using the DVD update patch, the patch program says I have the incorrect patch version; I have to use the CD version. But when I try the CD version, it asks for Disc 4, which I don't have.

Short of reinstalling the game, does anyone have any ideas for installing the update patch? I'm wondering if running the CD image did something to my registry.

    Thanks

Here's my problem. An update to the game was just released. It asks for Disc 4 to continue, then i mounted cd 4 (.mds) But it wouldn't continue and still says incorrect cd inserted! why why why? Anyone have the answers.
    THANKS

Over a month ago I burned Sims 2 on my pc with alcohol 120% at 4x & safe disc 2/3 protections.
Installed 4 cd’s on my laptop {no alcohol installed}, then exit do not launch!!! Copy the Sims 2.exe crack from cd1 and replace the Sims 2.exe that you installed on your hard drive.
    =====================================================================
The majority of the NO Patch CD/Image(Alcohol 120%/Daemon Tools) no longer work due to blacklisting. I posted a stickey guide on how to create a mini image to get The Sims 2/University to play.

PM me if you need more help
