Try ConvertXtoDVD. Will convert nearly any format to DVD. Depending on settings, 700MB avi file will take 30-40 minutes to encode and burn at 8x. Output quality is usually close to that of source.

just a few words to the wise.... In my opinion, Sonic/Roxio (made by Roxio) are harder programs to use and often has bugs in it's programming. DizzyDuck is correct about ConvertXToDVD as being better than any Sonic/Roxio product! You can download and try ConvertXToDVD for free.... but it does leave a watermark logo on the final product... you must buy it to get the logo business out. Still a good buy!

As being a newbie.... welcome to Afterdawn.

I know it's personal preferences..... but only use red lettering to emphasize a phrase or a point.... but not to be use throughout your whole writing. Just my opinion..... others may feel the same......

    Welcome to Afterdawn.

I'm going to definately agree with Ihoe on this one. I used Sonic/Roxio for a while and had nothing but stupid little issues with it. It's not real practical or user friendly, in my humble opinion. ConvertXtoDVD is very effective.
