i just got a new lite-on dvdrw lh-20a1h i used nero 6 on my old burner just fine to burn a copied dvd, and my problem is now when i burn a dvd my dvd player don't reconixze it but my computer will play it. so i got nero 7 with the same efects. i tried burning at 4x with no luck. i have noticed that when i burn that while burning the upper buffer is at 100 but the buffer at the bottom does not come on were as before both of them were at 100? i have updated my firmware. by the way the million is in monopoly money,
Hi granbn Just the 1 buffer showing when writing is okay - from you're description sounds like that one is for the burner. If you not burning on the fly the drive that reading buffer will fill up then go down once the burn starts - then that buffer kicks in for that drive. Your problem sounds like a media compatibility w/ the player. What media are you using? Like Sony +R 16x? Does your player support both formats (- or + most newer ones do).
Record the video output to the hard drive, do a simulated burn and post the log here. If the sim comes out okay, it's probably media incompatibility as Binkie mentioned. One thing you can do to increase compatibility is use DVD +R and booktype to DVD ROM if your drive allows the option.
Ok you can try the burn to the hard drive as pacman suggested. We can also check the firmware on the burner - if it's not up to date may help. Go to Nero SmartStart>Tools>InfoTool. The burner make & model will be listed in the dropdown - post back that. In the drive tab there's a field for the firmware version post that back too. Or you can just post the last Nero too like pacman suggested - all info will be listed there too. You can find it here: program files>nero>nero 7>core>nerohistory. It's a text file and the logs are separated by something like this: =======***Nero Burning History***======== Just be sure to edit out the serial # - begins w/ 1A, 1C or 5C.

In your burn settings do you have the option to Finalize the disc selected. To play in a standalone player the DVD has to be Finalized.
It's no trouble granbn Like PacMan said you'll need to finalize the disc - some dvd players will have a problem w/ ones not. So uncheck multisession. What is this disc your copying of? Looks like it has tracks on it instead of the usually dvd video stuff.
