I have Nero 6 ultra edition. I am burning video files onto CD-Rs as VCDs with no problem. however wen i come to play them on my dvd player, i cant get passed the menu screen. Im pressing every button on my dvd player but all i see is the main menu screen. what am i doing wrong? i never normally have this problem with Nero.

are you sure you're dvd player supports playback of VCDs ?

use a good brand of CD-Rs burning at 24x max and see if that helps

nero 6.6.0.18 is the best version also

Will they play on your PC?
I had this problem as well many years ago though and it could be that your dvd player will not play vcd's.

No my DVD player does play VCDs. I have burnt hundreds of VCDs and played them on this DVD player with no trouble. Problem is that i used to have Nero 7 Demo version, which worked gr8. But this expired and im now using Nero 6. ever since ive been using this to burn videos, I play them on my DVD player, and all i see is the menu screen.

Also, has any1 burnt a video on VCD, but only had half the video actually come out?
