[bold]Booktyping can only be applied to DVD+R media[/bold], you'll need a burner and software that supports this feature in order to apply it.

If you're willing to spend $10.00 dollars more, I suggest getting a Sony 18x Internal Double-Layer DVD±RW/CD-RW Drive (Model: DRU-830A). I have it, it supports booktyping and am very pleased with its performance, the sony site also provides very good support for the drive (firmware updates, documentation, etc.), the drive comes with Nero's software which you can use to booktype your DVD+R disks.
