I have one cable box and I would like to buy a 2nd so that I dont have to pay extra to my cable company. Can anyone tell me what questions should I ask when buying a box? Is there maybe a number on my box that the second box should have in order to work?
    thanks

If you are subscribed to digital cable with a digital receiver box then the chances of buying another one is very slim. There may be a few out there for sale but the cable companies keep a close watch on those boxes. They are part of the security system and therefore not easy to get. If its the older analog type cable box you want, then those are easy to get. Just do a Google for cable descramblers. You should get many hits.
