Does the typical cable box have the ability to RECEIVE a STEREO signal through the RF and send it to the ANALOG LINE OUT connectors on the rear and then play it in STEREO at the amp? I have tried this tuning to various stations that cable cast in STEREO according to the tv indication and the STEREO/MONO switch has no effect. The sound is in MONO in either position. This leads me to think that either the RF CANNOT receive a STEREO signal, or it is converted to a mixed MONO signal at the connectors. Would someone please give me a DIFINITIVE answer. My tv is MONO so I cannot make a comparison. Thanks.
