i recently bought an rs232 serial cable,is this different than the null modem cable cause they both fit into the same sockets

 

a null modem is a 9 pin female to female cable.

 

then the cable is the right 1 i have but i still am having problems downloading the software to my star view box,nothing happens at all,any ideas,the download bar comes up on screen but it just remains blank n its starting to drive me mad at this stage,ahhhhhhhh

 

first make sure you have them connected proper then on gtrom loader make sure its on the right com port.also did you use this cable before.

 

no i only bought it sat,it really is frustrating,the com port is on the loader right.

 

try all four com ports on gtrom loader.if it doesn't work bring back the cable.
