I've heard this can be done. Does BB sell the hardware for this and Does it perform well. I want to stream HD video from my PC to my TV. Both have Ethernet but cabling is problematic. Are there speed or quality limitations?

I know someone who'd using these and the playback is fine 720P, he hasn't got a better TV to try higher res. These things tend to get quite hot in use, make sure your smoke alarms are working!

Yeah, That's the "D-link" version. The one that you originally referenced was the "Netgear" I'll look into the D-link to see if it is rated as highly as the Netgear. Thanks

Thanks. I'm switching my search to functions of the Roku VOD player, which is wireless and probably will do everything that I want. Don't know whether there is any way to get my computer HDD to talk to Roku, though.
Ideally, I'd like to have my TV do everything that my PC does - after I install a wireless mouse and keyboard of course. I can do this with my wireless network and notebook computer except that I need to wire my notebook to the back of the TV "PC in" connector (12-pin D connector?). I visited a friend recently that bought a new Samsung Blu-Ray player and he showed me how he gets Netflix, Pandora, and You Tube directly to his HDTV. His setup has his computer in the same room as his home theater. I have my TV/Computer in opposite ends of the house and separated by walls. But I do have a woreless modem. So I started liiking for a way to hook up my TV to the computer w/o ugly wires strung through the house. Then I learned about Roku. Since that appears to do what the Samsung Blu Ray does, I'm considering abandoning my aspirations of getting my PC and TV to communicate.
Oh yeah, Nd I'd like to get streaming video from sites like ABC.com. I have satellite TV and can't get network programming except from the uplinked local stations. This is frustrating on days like today when we have a little snow and all the programming is preempted by the endless droneing of the local weatherman listing all the closings and sticking rulers in the snow.
