COD uses a very current version of safedisc (3.15/.10) which is hardware dependant. What app did you use to make and burn the image? What settings did you use? What burner do you have?

OK not sure about the drives capabilitys, so we'll play it safe. Using Alcohol create an image with default safedisc 2x/3x datatype settings. Burn it back at the slowest possible speed. Go to the title screen of Alcohol, then to 'options' 'emulations'. Make sure 'ignore media type' is enabled. and in the 'extra emulations' that 'bad sector emulation' is enabled.
