Camcorder not playing MP3

Hello anyone out there know anything about a camcorder namely DV588 Everything works great onit except when i copy mp3 to it it staysin mass storage Its actually a dv camcorder audio recorder photo cam plays mp4 movies and of course an MP3 player which i cannot get to work i know it can work because a friend of mine who has since moved away got it working on an XP where as im using Vista but we were doing the very same thing Hopin someone can help Thanks in advance
