I purchased the JVC Everio HDD Digital Camcorder (GZ-MG130)and I am not happy with the video quality. I am looking to again buy a camcorder but I want to know ahead of time, if the video can be edited. I read that the ones with mini-dvds cannot be edited but need to burned to a dvd as is.I was looking at the Sony DCR-DVD108 DVD but wanted to be able to transfer from the camcorder to edit. Please enlighten me on this.

    Thanks
    Sandy

Actually the better camcorders for editing the videos are the ones that us the minidv tape. The quality is far better than the HDD and the DVD camcorders. I have an Elura 100 and I really like the video quality.

If image quality is important, go with the high-megapixel or 3CCD camcorders. Also, PFloyd's comment abut miniDV is correct.
