can any type of video be put on a dvd to play in a dvd player?

    I have a lot of different file types and i would like to put them onto dvd's that will play on a dvd player. Is this possible? If so how?

    should be ... im at school so i cant look it up now but just look for an authoring guide... ive used tmpgenc with much success

    Generally, Yes.

    Most all of your video files can be Authored or Re-Aurthored using TMPGEnc, as prjctsttc points out and then TMPGEnc DVD Author to get your VOB's and then DVDShrink if need be and then you're all set to burn them to your DVD.
