Just wondering is any of the kind souls out there would be able to help flash my starview 1. I am in the Dublin 15 area but can travel if it helps. I have bought the cables needed, but every time I try to flash it comes up as failed. I have done the factory reset, removed the firmware and reinstalled, all to no avail. I am truely at my wits end...

If anyone can help, pm me with detail and number of necessary beer tokens.

    Thanks,

    Dave.

    Thanks Anto & Cactikid,

I am using a USB serial converter and am pretty sure it's a null modem rs232 cable. It's a genuine box and I have tried the firmware several times, following the handy instructions on this site to the letter.

I have tested my self restraint to the max to stop me from chucking the thing out the window and can now curse like a navvy.

    All help appreciated.
