I have a LG GSA-4160B DVD burner that has lasted more than 2 years (26 months so far) and is working just fine. I would happily buy the equivalent current model. My previous burner was a Pioneer that is now 4 years old, and that is working just fine also.

Did you have a burner fail?

Deductive reasoning would result in the conclusion that the question was being directed towards Magdylite.

Yes, deductice reasoning would conclude that. But that doesn't mean that I can't share my views, does it.

    C'mon, it's xmas, lighten up. Lol~

Id recommend Pioneer,Samsung,Phillips had all none failed

Samsung drive i got in June 2001 still burns as new
2x phillips drives came with my new computer in 2004 and still work as new after about 500 dvd's burnt and no one error.

Pioneer got one in my old computer in 02 still works as new.

Cd drives do not fail as much as youd think they do its not like a game consoole drive wherre the drives laser is so gay 2 years of backups kills it!
